Proper application of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) is fundamental to compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). With roughly 1,100 individual data points and a wide topical scope, figuring out where to begin can be daunting.

Making Connections Part 3 – Topical ESRS & GRI Standards will take a closer look at the 10 topical ESRS and provide a method for breaking down the requirements contained in each. We will also examine the connection points between the general and topical standards as well as the interconnectivity and usefulness of GRI Standards disclosures, and other common standards, for ESRS implementation.

Agenda

  • Recap ESRS components and ESRS 2 General Disclosures – a quick overview to orient attendees as we dive deeper into the ESRS
  • Topical ESRS – an examination of the topical ESRS connection points to ESRS 2 and a method for breaking down each topical standard in a consistent way
  • ESRS and GRI links – an analysis of each topical ESRS as it relates to the GRI standards
  • ESRS and other standards – a high-level overview of the connection points between ESRS and other sustainability reporting frameworks such as the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)

  • Louis Coppola, EVP & Co-Founder, G&A Institute
  • Christina Carlton, Sustainability Analyst, G&A Institute
