Bernie Kilkelly is a strategic communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in investor relations, financial communications, corporate strategic communications and ESG issues. He is a skilled copywriter with extensive experience in writing annual reports, corporate sustainability reports, a variety of investor presentations, earnings call scripts and online content.
Bernie served as head of investor relations for three public companies in the financial services sector, including at Delphi Financial Group for 11 years before its acquisition by Tokio Marine Group at a 76% premium to share price. He served as primary spokesperson for these three companies with analysts and investors and held 1-on-1 meetings and presented at conferences.
Previously he worked for several leading investor relations and strategic communications agencies in New York, including Robinson Lerer & Montgomery, Morgen-Walke Associates and Makovsky & Co. At these agencies he provided public companies with investor relations and crisis communications counsel as well as communications support for proxy battles and capital markets transactions including M&A, equity and debt offerings.
Bernie is a recognized leader in the investor relations community including serving as a director and past president of the New York Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI). He is a frequent speaker on investor relations and crisis communications topics at industry conferences and events.
Bernie received his M.B.A. in Finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and his B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross. He is a born and bred New Yorker, growing up in Queens and attending Regis High School in Manhattan, and is a lifelong, hopeful fan of the New York Mets.
