Alex Cohen is Vice President of Sustainability Consulting at the Governance & Accountability Institute where he is passionate about helping clients set and achieve their sustainability goals. In this role he has supported clients in a dozen industries to publish annual sustainability reports, identify human rights risks in operations, improve their scores on annual surveys such as CDP and S&P’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment, and generally help clients to navigate the world of sustainability.
Prior to this role, Alex organized New York Energy Week 2019, a week-long event series that focused on energy sustainability issues in New York City. He was also previously an intern with the G&A Institute from 2015-16 where he analyzed sustainability reporting. This research, combined with other experiences in financial services and IT consulting, gives Alex a broad perspective on solutions to sustainability issues.
Alex is based in New York City and holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from Baruch College and a BA in International Studies from Bentley University.
