Deborah E. Wallace is founder and Principal at BrinkPoint Consulting, LLC, a consulting and research firm providing services and written materials in the areas of governance reform, board development and leadership development. Deborah has been conducting comprehensive research in these areas for more than 20 years and has written extensively for a variety of publications including Directors & Boards,Corporate Secretary Magazine, the Sarbanes-Oxley Journal, the National Association of Credit Unions magazine and Compliance and Ethics. She is a Contributing Editor for Reflections, a quarterly journal published by MIT’s Society of Organization Learning and a featured columnist for the Governance Accountability Institute.
Prior to establishing BrinkPoint Consulting, Deborah was Vice President of Management and Leadership Development for Fidelity Brokerage Company, where she worked with its business unit presidents in developing a long-term succession planning program. For ten years, she was a Senior Consultant at Towers Watson (formerly Watson Wyatt Worldwide), where she was a core member of its Organization Effectiveness practice. During her time there, she introduced Governance and Board Effectiveness as a new area of expertise and designed and led case-based programs for Watson Wyatt’s in-house Associate Development Program. Prior to her tenure at Towers Watson/Watson Wyatt, Deborah was a Senior Consultant at Innovation Associates, a firm founded by Peter Senge in the early 1990’s to advance the theory and practice of organizational learning.
Deborah is a Fellow at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), and the Society of Organizational Learning (SoL). She earned both her masters and doctoral degrees from Harvard University.
