Ella Chen now lives in Beijing and works as a Power Market Analyst at the UPC Renewables (China), a subsidiary of the EDF EN. Her job includes closely watching the any update on the electricity reform in China, and producing high quality update notes relating to energy and power market, covering generation, transmission, supply and demand.
Graduated from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) with her Master of Public Administration degree in May 2015, her focus at SIPA includes a concentration in Global Energy Management & Policy, and a specialization in Advanced Policy and Economic Analysis.
Her experience with the Governance & Accountability Institute (G&A) dates back to her time as a MPA candidate at SIPA. At the G&A, she worked as a GRI analyst intern, analyzing world’s sustainability trends.
She worked as an Analyst at the Planning and Development Department in China HuaNeng Group HK Ltd from August 2015 to December 2017. She joined the UPC Renewables (China) in January 2018.
