Natalia Valencia

Natalia Valencia is an Associate Director of Research and Responsible Investment at LAVCA (the Latin American Venture Capital Association) in New York City.  In this role, she leads ESG and Impact Investing initiatives. She also supports the generation and delivery of quality research products and services to LAVCA’s Members and to the Latin America Private Equity/Venture Capital community. 

Prior to joining LAVCA, Natalia worked with Nomura Research Institute America (NRIA), a leading Japanese consulting firm, where she conducted market research and provided management consulting services to top Asian companies. She led projects in the Energy and Infrastructure group and was also involved in all Latin American projects. Prior to joining NRIA, Natalia worked as a consultant for private organizations in both the US and Colombia.

Natalia worked with G&A Institute while earning her Masters, analyzing and compiling data from the sustainability reports of S&P 500 Index companies and helped actively in the creation of the report: Corporate ESG/Sustainability Reporting – Does it matter? (2011 issue). 

Natalia earned her Master’s in Public Administration, in Environmental Science and Policy at Columbia University in May 2011.
