Katherine Esposito is currently a senior at Bard College majoring in Environmental and Urban Studies with a concentration in Economics, Policy and Global Development. During her undergraduate time at Bard, Katherine has taken several graduate courses with Bard’s MBA in Sustainability as well as Bard’s Center for Environmental Policy. She is interested in how corporations can measure and track progress while identifying opportunities through sustainability/ CSR reporting.
As a sustainability intern at Bard’s Office of Sustainability, Katherine collects and manages data for the college's sustainability and UN SDG Accord reports. She also works with the Dean of the College and faculty members to measure and incorporate the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals into the curriculum and activities on campus. Katherine has also completed a fellowship at Yale University and Yale New-Haven Health where she facilitated a waste audit of the nationally ranked hospital’s main campus. There she also researched how to build a business case for a sustainability team.
Katherine’s specific interests include: Sustainability/CSR reporting, circular economy, sustainable supply chains, zero waste, carbon positivity, and impact investing.
