Jess Peete

Jess Peete is a recent graduate of the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where she graduated with an M.B.A. and a Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development. She served as the Vice President for the Brandeis Net Impact graduate chapter and was on the executive planning committee for the Heller Entrepreneurial Events series (including the Heller Startup Challenge and the Hult Prize competitions). 

Her graduate research focused on stakeholder engagement to achieve shared goals. Jess’ M.B.A. research demonstrated the value of using the Collective Impact model to create effective governance structures in nonprofits. Her research for the Sustainable International Development department examined how companies can use the Information-Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) framework to address the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal and create shared value in their internal and external operations and engagements. 

Jess also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina, Asheville in Political Science with a minor in Africana Studies. Her undergraduate research examined the relationship between political efficacy and civic participation in federal policy creation. 

Jess became interested in environmental conservation and sustainability during her service terms with AmeriCorps Project Conserve. She is now very passionate about the intersection of social and environmental justice in business operations and processes.
