Ellen Li is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Management at the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, focusing on the intersection of Business and the Environment. During her time at the Nicholas School, Ellen worked on projects that covered a wide variety of sustainability issues. Her primary Master’s thesis project focuses on the corporate social responsibility best-practices within the food manufacturing industry.
Ellen became interested in sustainability during her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland. She also had internship experience at the Climate Bonds Initiative as a green bond market analyst intern, where she witnessed the positive impacts of sustainable finance instruments to reach the 1.5-degree pathway. Ellen aims to enter a career in sustainability/ESG, where she believes that she can help to bridge the data disclosure gap between the corporate sector and the investor community.
