Eden Prevost is a senior at Virginia Teach working to simultaneously complete a BA in Public and Urban Affairs, and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. As a Smart and Sustainable Cities major and Psychology minor she has a unique perspective that allows for an understanding of how changes in the world affect society and interpersonal relationships.
Through her studies, she has learned the importance of sustainability, sustainable urban development, policy and planning methods, data analysis, and how to create solutions for a greener and cleaner future. She will use her organizational skills, leadership, empathic personality, and creativity to work hard in future positions and be upbeat and positive in the workspace.
When they were collaborating with G&A Institute:
Eden Prevost is a Sophomore at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. She is majoring in Smart and Sustainable Cities which is in the school of Public and International Affairs while minoring in Psychology.
She also has an interest in the German language and culture, having studied it for several years, and having had the opportunity to travel there as an exchange student. In her career, she hopes to travel to other countries to see how they practice sustainability and to experience their culture.
Eden is doing her second year of club swim. Last year she was also part of German Culture Club. She planned to be a part of “The Big Event” (a student-Run Day of service) last year, but sadly it was taken by COVID-19; she hopes to get more involved this year.
Her love for sustainability began through the S.T.E.M. program at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria Virginia. In various classes, she was exposed to coding, robotics, sustainable biomaterials, and biotechnology. She finds interest in researching companies that are making sustainable products. She hopes to one day work for a company that makes unique and green products, and possibly help design the products or to focus on ESG and gain knowledge of sustainability reporting.
