Binyu Zhao recently graduated from Columbia University with a Master degree in Public Administration. Having worked at the Climate Change and Sustainability Services Department in Ernst & Young, and the Capital Markets Systems Team in Ceres, she helped a wide range of clientele, including those in emerging markets to develop a better understanding of global megatrends in sustainability reporting and ESG disclosures, and assisted businesses and assets managers to better integrate ESG issues into their long-term strategic planning and investment. Her focus areas include corporate governance, sustainability reporting, ESG Investing, proxy voting, and stakeholder engagement.
Binyu holds an Investment Foundations Certificate from the CFA Institute and is pursuing the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Credential from SASB. Her strong bilingual skills also allow her to provide services and connect with clients in Southeast Asia and East Asia. Binyu received her B.Eng. in Environmental Engineering and a minor in Political Science from the National University of Singapore.
After completing her internship, Binyu was asked to extend her internship for another term and was promoted to G&A Intern Team Leader, supervising and training incoming interns.
