Anna Gunther is a senior undergraduate at Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science, graduating May 2014. She is studying Earth and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on sustainable energy and materials. She is involved with Columbia's chapter of Engineers Without Borders, working with a small community in Ghana to address its water and sanitation needs.
Anna has interned at Consolidated Edison in its engineering division on a project to prevent aquatic life from entering a power plant with the water to used to cool the plant. She also interned at an environmental consulting firm, helping various businesses obtain funding to recover from Hurricane Sandy damage.
Anna is interested in working in the financial services industry in an environmental capacity, and her exposure to sustainability reporting through her experience at G&A has furthered that interest.
