Amelia Veleber is a senior at the University of Vermont Rubenstein School of the Environment and Natural Resources pursuing a B.S. with a double major in Environmental Sciences (concentration in Global Environmental and Climate Change), and Sustainability, Ecology & Policy.
She spent a semester in Costa Rica’s biodiverse Osa Peninsula with UVM’s Field Studies in Costa Rica program focused on sustainable development. This program sparked her interest in the intersection of sustainability and business. Recently, she interned with the Center for Community News and gained skills in creating data visualizations. Amelia enjoys traveling to other countries and observing how they approach sustainability, such as the Netherlands, which has a rich history in dealing with the effects of climate and its impacts on society.
She is interested in learning more about impact investing, ESG, and corporate sustainability. Amelia is excited to be a part of G&A’s intern team this year to expand her knowledge in this field!
