Simon Fischweischer

Simon Fischweicher is an MBA candidate at Bard College's MBA in Sustainability program. He will complete his graduate degree in Sustainability in May 2016. He is a Vice President of the program's Net Impact chapter. His focuses are sustainable business, urban development and impact investment.

Simon is working as a GRI analyst intern for Governance & Accountability Institute, Inc., analyzing sustainability trends. Simon is also currently working at the Dana Foundation as a Project Associate. He manages the foundation's ongoing outreach and education campaigns. Upon completing his MBA, Simon wants to refocus his career on sustainability.

Simon is a native New Yorker devoted to helping develop more sustainable urban economies. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 2011 with a degree in Government and Legal Studies. He was also a pitcher for the Bowdoin College Polar Bears. Currently, he allies his passion for baseball with his devotion to community as a volunteer youth baseball coach with the non-profit organization Harlem RBI. He also spent an eyeopening semester in Amman, Jordan in the fall of 2009. The experience helped codify his desire to change the way the private, social and public sector treat people and the planet.

Simon is excited to be a part of the G&A team, helping these three sectors understand and initiate more sustainable practices.
