Kirstie Dabbs is currently pursuing an MBA in Sustainability, with a focus on Circular Value Chain Management, at Bard College in New York. Her fluency in corporate disclosure stems from the program’s emphasis on the Integrated Bottom Line. As an MBA student she has enjoyed developing sustainability strategies for public, private and nonprofit organizations. Read More

Katherine Esposito is currently a senior at Bard College majoring in Environmental and Urban Studies with a concentration in Economics, Policy and Global Development. During her undergraduate time at Bard, Katherine has taken several graduate courses with Bard’s MBA in Sustainability as well as Bard’s Center for Environmental Policy. She is interested in how corporations can measure and track progress while identifying opportunities through sustainability/ CSR reporting. Read More

Eden Prevost is a Sophomore at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. She is majoring in Smart and Sustainable Cities which is in the school of Public and International Affairs while minoring in Psychology. Read More

Jordan Sabine is pursuing an MBA in Sustainability at Bard College, and also holds a BA in Strategic Political Communications and a minor in Marketing from Drake University. Having worked in electoral strategy, political communications, and stakeholder engagement for six years, Jordan is now endeavoring to shape and support corporate sustainability strategies. Read More

Kaylee Wong is currently pursuing her master’s in professional accounting at Fordham University. She recently completed her bachelor’s in accounting at Fordham where she had the opportunity to take many courses that centered around Sustainable Accounting and ESG implementations in businesses. She also served as a SASB ambassador and assisted with logistics at the annual SASB conference in New York for 3 years. Read More

Sarah El-Miligy graduated from the Faculty of Economic studies and Political science at Alexandria University, holding a bachelor degree in Political science and she is currently acting as a Teacher Assistant in scientific research methodologies and Diplomatic and Consular Relations in the political section department and a former international diplomacy coordinator with Ambassador Sameh Abu- El Enien – Deputy Foreign Minister and Director of the Egyptian Diplomatic Academy at Universidad Oberta de Cataluña. Kelly Mumford is a recent graduate of the Development Planning Unit at the University College London. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Environment and Sustainable Development (with Merit). Her course focused on environmental planning and management in developing countries and culminated with a month of field work in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Read More

Jesse Velazquez is a senior student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Sustainability and the Environment at Florida International University, and currently holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Valencia College. He is also pursuing the following professional certifications: Life Cycle Assessment Certified Professional (LCACP), Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P), and a Sustainability Professional Certification from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). Sofia Yialama is a GRI-certified Senior Sustainability Research Analyst from Greece. She holds a Bachelor and MSc degree in International and European studies and her areas of expertise include international relations, international cooperation and sustainable development. As a former E.U Projects Consultant and member in regional Task Forces, she has significant experience in project management in sectors such as Sustainability in the Blue Economy sectors, Green Economy, Sustainable Tourism and Nature-Based solutions. Binyu Zhao recently graduated from Columbia University with a Master degree in Public Administration. Having worked at the Climate Change and Sustainability Services Department in Ernst & Young, and the Capital Markets Systems Team in Ceres, she helped a wide range of clientele, including those in emerging markets to develop a better understanding of global megatrends in sustainability reporting and ESG disclosures, and assisted businesses and assets managers to better integrate ESG issues into their long-term strategic planning and investment. Julia Nehring is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She previously worked for several years as a project manager for a national environmental consulting firm and spent a year as an AmeriCorps volunteer. As the current president of her university's Net Impact chapter, she enjoys helping colleagues and classmates get involved and volunteer in the community. Read More

Reilly Sakai comes from a marketing and communications background and is currently a focused Fashion & Luxury MBA candidate at NYU Stern School of Business, specializing in Sustainable Business & Innovation and Management of Technology & Operations. She also received her BA from NYU, at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she studied cultural trends and business. A California native, environmental issues have been at the forefront of her thinking since a young age. Read More

Minalee Busi is currently working with ClimateWorks Australia, a non-profit organisation under Monash University helping Australia transition to net-zero emissions by 2050. She also trained as a Climate Reality Leader in 2020. She has pursued her Master’s degree in Environment and Sustainability at Monash University, Melbourne, specializing in Corporate environmental and sustainability management. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication and has worked in the IT industry for two years. She believes grassroots changes by incorporating the concept of sustainability in corporate and business models can be one of the most effective strategies against the issues of sustainable development. Jessica Caron graduated from Dartmouth College in 2017 with a BA in Environmental Studies and a minor in Hispanic Studies. She has a passion for sustainable development and for reimagining how organizations operate to achieve environmental and social benefits. Jessica has most recently worked in the Department of Sustainability & Environment at Prudential Financial, Inc, where she worked on sustainability reporting, policy briefs, and website improvement, and is currently consulting on corporate sustainability topics. Emilie Ho holds an M.Phil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor’s in Politics and International Relations from Scripps College. Her volunteer work teaching safe energy to elementary school students around the Claremont area early in her undergraduate years inspired her to approach the issue of sustainability from a broader perspective, such as how corporations can aid the efforts in transitioning our economy into one that is more sustainable. Emilie’s academic interests include environmental law, environmental politics, and corporate social responsibility, and her graduate research focused on the progress of, and remaining challenges to, California achieving its goals to reduce its statewide greenhouse gas emissions under AB 32. Jess Peete is a recent graduate of the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where she graduated with an M.B.A. and a Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development. She served as the Vice President for the Brandeis Net Impact graduate chapter and was on the executive planning committee for the Heller Entrepreneurial Events series (including the Heller Startup Challenge and the Hult Prize competitions). Amanda Hoster is a recent graduate of the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, where she completed her Master of Environmental Management, focusing on Business and Sustainability. During her time at the Nicholas School, Amanda worked on projects covering a wide variety of sustainability issues, but her primary research addressed the use of sustainable materials within the apparel industry.

Matthew Novak is a Detroit area native and graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) with a degree in coastal environmental science. He currently works at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) in Rockville, Maryland as an ESG Analyst.

Elizabeth Peterson, ISSP-SA, is a M.A. candidate in Sustainability at Hofstra University, on track to graduate in May 2018 upon completion and approval of her master’s thesis on ESG Reporting. Her research explores sustainability reporting methods and frameworks to eliminate greenwashing and strengthen the comprehensive and comparable analysis of reports between multi-national corporations.

Yangshengjing (UB) Qiu was graduated from the College of William and Mary where she earned her B.S. in Psychology and Environmental Policy. After moving back to China in 2017, she started her career at EY as a sustainability consultant helping clients with their ESG reporting. Wanting to better understand how companies operate, she took on the role of regional sustainability manager at Interface Inc. in Shanghai September 2018. Read More

Sara Rosner is particularly focused on working with investors to understand and leverage environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts in order to create value and ensure long-term growth. Sara’s strengths include delivering innovative results surrounding strategic investor and stakeholder engagement, ESG research and data analysis, corporate sustainability and project management.

Shraddha Sawant is a passionate environmentalist from Pune, India. She moved to the U.S. in 2015 to pursue her Master’s in Environmental Sustainability from University of Pennsylvania. She is currently working as an Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist with an electronic waste recycling company based in Philadelphia.

Alan Stautz is an undergraduate senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Environmental Science and Political Science. The focus of his coursework is on the development of successful environmental protection policies, a path he hopes to continue in Law School. Following the completion of his legal education, Alan plans to pursue the implementation of sustainability solutions, specifically renewable energy development. Read More

Laura Malo Yague is a full-time candidate in the Master of Science in Sustainability Management at Columbia University. She was graduated in Industrial Technical Engineering – Industrial Electronics in Spain and has seven years experience in Product and Project Management. Cher joined Kohler Co. in January 2018, having received a BS in Environmental Sciences from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Duke University, as well as previous job assignments at Lenovo and the Governance and Accountability Institute. Read More

Evan Dennis advises public and private organizations on the use of stakeholder engagement and collaborative planning processes for designing strategic planning initiatives that improve their ESG footprints. He serves as an intern for the Governance & Accountability Institute, analyzing numerous corporate and institutional sustainability reports. He helped produce G&A’s report comparing corporate SDG goals across corporate sectors, and has assisted in keeping the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) global Sustainability Reporting database up-to-date. Alvis Yuen is a recent graduate of the City College of New York, earning his Master’s degree for Sustainability in the Urban Environment. His interest in the interaction of the environment and business interest began during his undergraduate studies at NYU where Alvis pursued dual majors in biochemistry and economics. This background allows him to understand the more technical aspects of sustainability problems as well as their economic implications.

Kasope is a recent graduate from the Bard Center for Environmental Policy and is currently working his first season at an organic vegetable farm in the Hudson Valley. With experience drafting permits for wetland mitigation in Louisiana and researching the opportunities for public-private partnerships in sustainable infrastructure and climate finance, he is passionate about designing market solutions to tackle environmental problems and climate change. He received a B.A. in History and Environmental Studies from Amherst College. Read More

Ling Qin earned her Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Through her academic training and professional experience in the environmental science and energy system, she has developed good understanding of the environmental and energy markets. Her interests include renewable energy, impact investing and public finance. Read More

Juliet Russell is currently pursuing an MSc in Environmental Technology, focusing on Business and the Environment at Imperial College London. Since graduating from University College London in 2016 with a BSc in Geography, Juliet has interned for the Governance & Accountability Institute, Inc. as a GRI Data Partner and sustainability reporting analyst.

Sihui (Olivia) Wang is a second year graduate student at New York University, School of Professional Studies, graduating August 2017. She is studying Integrated Marketing, with a focus on Marketing Analytics.
Originally from China, Wang speaks in Mandarin and English. She obtained a Bachelor of General Administration from Shenzhen University (SZU) in Shenzhen, China, where she worked as the Vice Minister for the English Association from 2011 to 2013.

Alex Cohen graduated from Baruch College in December 2015 with concentrations in sustainability and international business. He previously graduated from Bentley University with a BA in international studies and spent four years working in finance before deciding to pursue his passion for sustainability. His primary focus is the connection between profit and sustainability and how business can pursue both simultaneously. Read More

Kristina Jette Mullen is a MBA graduate from Simmons School of Management. She was graduated in May 2015 with a concentration in sustainability and business strategy. Ashley Thomsen is a senior undergraduate majoring in global logistics management at Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business. She formerly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from ASU and spent six years as a public school teacher in the areas of science and social studies. Simon Fischweicher is the Manager of Corporate Engagement on CDP’s North America Disclosure Services Team. He manages CDP’s efforts to increase corporate disclosure of climate change, forests and water data from North American corporations. His team is responsible for providing guidance and support to over 600 disclosing companies in North America as well as companies considering disclosure for the first time. Read More

Since his G&A Institute internship, Reuben Goldstein was an EDF Climate Corps Fellow in Austin, Texas, where he worked with Foundation Communities, the largest Affordable Housing Organization in Austin. After the fellowship, Rueben completed his thesis at Bard College where he developed a repeatable model that would help affordable housing organization's deploy solar electricity to their tenants. John Rovetto was graduated Cum Laude in Spring of 2014 from William Paterson University of New Jersey with a B.S. in Business Management. While attending, he was enrolled in the Business Honors College and authored a thesis concerning the economic sustainability of multichannel retail corporations. Read More

Ella Chen now lives in Beijing and works as a Power Market Analyst at the UPC Renewables (China), a subsidiary of the EDF EN. Her job includes closely watching the any update on the electricity reform in China, and producing high quality update notes relating to energy and power market, covering generation, transmission, supply and demand. Anna (Gunther) Buchsbaum is a senior undergraduate at Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science, graduating May 2014. She is studying Earth and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on sustainable energy and materials. She is involved with Columbia's chapter of Engineers Without Borders, working with a small community in Ghana to address its water and sanitation needs. Read More

Yekta Karimi is a graduate from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) where she obtained her Masters in International Affairs. She concentrated her degree in international finance and economic policy with a specialization in management and is certified in Nonprofit Leadership and Management through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance as well as through the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Selene Lawrence is an outreach professional advocating for sustainability in the public, non-profit and private sectors. She has served as a lead analyst for the Governance & Accountability Institute since 2014, measuring corporate responsibility and compliance for some of the largest companies in the U.S, while reporting on current sustainability trends and providing in-depth insight for improvements. While still a graduate student, Katie Mencke was awarded one of 30 positions in Akzo Nobel’s one-week International Business Course that took place in Arnhem, the Netherlands. This opened the door for the beginning of her career as a process engineer. She traveled the continental US and Canada assisting in the sales of paper additives that decreased the energy requirements for making paper and improved the quality of recycled paper fibers. During the past few years, Avetik Amyan has been pursuing a career as a tax professional. He has worked for various organizations, including Citi Group and SS&C Technologies, where he has prepared tax returns and reviewed partnership, corporate, and individual returns. Read More

In 2017, Laura Ana Jardieanu received word that she was as one of 2017's Emerging Leaders in Transportation, which is pretty exciting. She works on environmental planning for [Superstorm] Sandy Recovery and Resiliency projects at New York City Transit.

Since interning at G&A, Jamie Reinhardt interned at the Clinton Global Initiative and the Rainforest Alliance to finish out her MBA in Sustainable Business. Jamie now lives in San Diego, CA works in development for an international conservation organization called Nature and Culture International. Her responsibilities include fundraising for them and program work collaborating with indigenous peoples of Latin America to protect tropical forests. Read More

Santiago Viteri is an industrial engineer with more than seven years of experience in developing markets managing technological transitions in banks and financial institutions. David Master has a diverse background in the arts, education, and retail. An avid professional sculptor and painter, David founded an online art gallery, BenZev Fine Art LLC, in 2006, which ignited his passion for business development and strategy. This endeavor led him along the path to return to school to attend Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business, where he is currently a candidate in the Full-Time Honors MBA program, class of 2013. Dr. Michelle Thompson is a Federal Project Director at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), where she is responsible for oversight of Livermore Field Office (LFO).

Natalia Valencia is an Associate Director of Research and Responsible Investment at LAVCA (the Latin American Venture Capital Association) in New York City. In this role, she leads ESG and Impact Investing initiatives. She also supports the generation and delivery of quality research products and services to LAVCA’s Members and to the Latin America Private Equity/Venture Capital community.
