Sara Rosner

Sara Rosner is a Senior ESG Analyst at Governance & Accountability Institute.  Sara is focused on working with investors to understand and leverage environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts in order to create value and ensure long-term growth. Her strengths include delivering innovative results surrounding strategic investor and stakeholder engagement, ESG research and data analysis and project management.

Sara’s interest in responsible investing and integrating ESG factors into the investment process stems from several years of experience covering project finance and capital markets in the Americas for Euromoney Institutional Investor. She led global teams to produce compelling content and data on large-cap firms and multi-billion dollar transactions. Sara also managed awards and rankings, recognizing excellence in fiscal and monetary policy, asset management, investment and commercial banking and corporate finance. 

Sara works with clients at the Governance & Accountability Institute to identify and improve performance on material ESG issues. In her role, Sara conducts research related to the Global Reporting Initiative and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. She also collaborates with the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, where she is working with a development banking client to identify solutions for increasing renewable energy development and financing in the extractive industry.

Sara recently graduated from Columbia University’s M.Sc. degree program in Sustainability Management. Her coursework included Sustainable Investing & Economic Growth, ESG & Responsible Investing Practices, Economics of Sustainability and Decision Models & Management. She also holds a B.S. in International Studies, magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University.
